(Lower Blepharoplasty)

This procedure improves the aesthetic appearance by redistribution of the fat pads and excision of excess skin of the lower lid region. Surgery can be performed either under local anesthesia with oral sedation, or general anesthesia.

Indications 

Puffy bags and dark circles of lower-eyelids. The purpose of this surgery is to remove excess fat from the lower eyelid. A small amount of skin is also removed.

Procedure

Removes and redistributes fat from the lower-eyelid. Removes skin and fine wrinkles from the lower-eyelid

Side Effects

Temporary discomfort, temporary blurred vision, swelling, tightening of the eyelids

Sutures removed on the 7th day, and generally 65% of the swelling dissipates by the end of 14 days.
